MedicFest - Who Can Attend?
Experience the thrill of MedicFest with your children this summer! We are thrilled to announce that families can now join in on the fun and exploration at MedicFest.
Our event offers exclusive family groups and independent learning groups designed for children who wish to embark on this medical adventure on their own.
Ideal for budding doctors and medical enthusiasts aged 8 to 16, MedicFest is a fantastic opportunity for children to attend independently or with a parent. At the same time, we warmly invite younger children aged 6 & 7 to immerse themselves in this unique experience, provided they are accompanied by a parent.
What’s more? Parents can join the event at absolutely no charge! Yes, you’ve read that right. Parents attend for free, further enhancing the value of this educational expedition.
Please note that each ticket permits entry for a single child and a parent or adult. However an adult can bring along up to three ticketed children. This ensures that every child receives the attention and guidance they deserve.
The MedicFest Day - Workshops
Each event has its own set of amazing workshops where your child will be able to use real medical kit.
In the Basic Obs Workshop activities include blood pressure, oxygen levels and temp. They’ll also record & print their own ECG, measure the size of their blood vessels on an ultrasound, scanning their veins with a vein scanner and listen to their pulse with a pulse doppler.
The Labs & Surgery Workshop includes taking blood from a fake arm, looking for germs with UV lights, trying keyhole surgery and taking a photo of the inside of their eye!
The MedicFest Day - Workshops
The Senses Workshop is where attendees will explore their senses to discover some very weird quirks of the human body! Have they evolved differently to their friends? Which is more dominant? What’s more important for your taste, your tongue or your nose?
The Sports Science workshop is where attendees will be able to measure their speed, strength, agility and balance across 10 sports science tests, including racing a virtual Usain Bolt! (This workshop is only available at the Summer Camps)
Each workshop comes with it’s own worksheet to fill in and check off activities as they go. They can be collected and kept in their memories folder at the end of the day.
The MedicFest Day - Times
MedicFest Summer Camp: Arrival / drop off your child(ren) from 9:30am with the day kicking off around 10am.
Each workshop is around 70minutes long and you’ll visit two before in the morning and two in the afternoon.
Lunch is 30minutes long starting at 12:30pm
Pick up time at the end of the day is 3:45-4pm. There are 4 workshops included in this day.

At each one of our MedicFest events, your child will experience using some amazing equipment that explores their own physiology, senses and quirks of the human body!
The most popular activities will include:

Sports Science Activities
At our MedicFest Summer Camp, we get a little more physical in one of the sessions, nothing too strenuous though! Your child will be able to use some brilliant sports science equipment to see how they compare to some of the world’s best athletes, including:
- Racing a virtual Usain Bolt on The Accelerator
- Recording how fast they can throw a ball
- Testing their reactions on Blaze Pods
- Measuring their strength
- See how high they can jump in the air!
